Get hooked on Fisk – a seafood bar and marketplace that has a wide variety of coldwater seafood from Norway and beyond. The restaurant is the brainchild of Frank Næsheim, the founder and CEO of Snorre Food, which has been supplying Nordic seafood to restaurants here for over 30 years so you know that this guy knows what he's doing.
Come during lunch for open-face Smørrebrød sandwiches that come topped with either house-smoked mackerel ($6) or Greenland prawns ($7), which are also served on ice at $6 for 100 grams. Dinner is a more substantial affair with dishes such as raw hand-dived scallops ($26.50), thinly sliced and dressed with juniper and calamansi gastrique. There's also the hot-smoked Greenland halibut ($35 per person) drizzled with trout roe and horseradish sauce that's served whole and can be shared by a minimum of two people.
