Time Out says

Baristart Coffee has made a name for itself with its crisp choux pastry cream puffs, all decadently piped with a rich Hokkaido milk custard. But at their latest pop-up in Joo Chiat, they’ll also have new pasta dishes and Japanese sandwiches on the menu.

Tuck into a strawberry fruit shokupan (milk bread) sando or order the Sweet Jar – this one’s a constant favourite for its crumb and Hokkaido milk cream layers, infused with flavours like coffee, mango, and classic custard.

There’s good reason why Hokkaido milk has its own cult following – its creamy, rich texture proves that it’s a milk unlike any other. While you can easily pick up a pint of Hokkaido milk at a Japanese grocery store or supermarket these days, Baristart Coffee was the very first café in Singapore to have offered Biei Jersey Milk.

Baristart Coffee has two outlets, one in Tras Street that is currently closed for renovations and the other in Sentosa. Head over to 467 Joo Chiat Road from October 3 to 12 (9am-4pm). It’s weekdays only though – perfect for a quick bite. If you’re within delivery distance, you can also order through Tok Tok Indonesian Restaurant Oddle’s page.
