Singapore's Path and Malaysia's Eat and Cook come together to celebrate National Day

Singapore and Malaysia's age-old rivalry takes a refreshing turn as two restaurants come together to celebrate National Day. Instead of fighting over who has the best nasi lemak, Path from Singapore and Eat and Cook from Malaysia join hands to honour our shared culinary heritage.

On August 8 and 9, Path welcomes guest chefs from Eat and Cook while a reciprocal event occurs in Kuala Lumpur on August 31 and September 1. The 8-course menu ($258) takes inspiration from Chinese food heritage, which holds special significance for the three talented chefs – Marvas Ng from Singapore, Soh Yong Zhi and Lee Zhe Xi from Malaysia. Expect reimagined versions of familiar dishes, including dim sum, a Hainanese-inspired aged tilapia, and a duck claypot rice topped with liver sausage and salted fish. Each dish narrates personal stories that honours friendship, kinship, and national pride.

The Path x Eat and Cook collaboration promises to be a heartwarming reflection of culinary mastery and friendship, breaking down borders and shattering stereotypes. Witness the brilliance of these chefs as they showcase their contemporary Chinse creations, uniting two culturally intertwined nations in a joyous culinary celebration this National Day.
