Long days of sunlight and dry conditions make Peru an ideal grape-growing region. Peruvian growers are even able to mature vines 55 percent faster than some neighbouring countries. Grapes are grown in the coastal valleys of Peru, predominantly Piura in the north and the southern region of Ica, where the majority of the country’s vineyards also reside.
