Time Out says

Who knew a happy place could get dark real quick? In this dark comedy by Gateway Theatre, a morning radio show’s chirpy on-air conversation turns sour when addressing the elephant in the room: social issues that questions their significance and place in society. But this is no heated debate between two strangers – it's actually between radio DJ Val and her old friend Estee who is an Instagram political poet. Things get even dirtier when they start revealing buried secrets to best each other. How it ends is anyone’s guess. Highlighting the role of art, entertainment, and their creators in an increasingly grim and tumultuous world, Happy Place certainly provides food for thought.
