Witness the magical combination of literary and visual arts in the flesh at Pasir Panjang Power Station. Through the power of Convey – a one-of-a-kind, inter-disciplinary which launches Thread, the new literary programming of 24OWLS – you can step into the imaginative worlds of poets Charlene Shepherdson, Crispin Rodrigues, Gwee Li Sui and Marylyn Tan, as well as illustrators Darel Seow and Weng Pixin. Taking a page of the Taking inspiration from the Cadavre Exquis (French for ‘Exquisite Corpse’) – a favourite game by surrealist artists created in the 1920s – these artists will contribute to two collective pieces – one poem and one artwork – after only seeing a sliver of illustration or a line of text done prior.
