Time Out says

This December, Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay welcomes the internationally acclaimed Papermoon Puppet Theatre from Indonesia for their biggest production to date – Stream of Memory.

Known for their whimsical yet incisive puppet performances, Papermoon Puppet Theatre has collaborated with artists and designers from Singapore on a play that explores our deep connection with nature. This lyrical non-verbal production follows Sang and Jun, who spend their days playing by the river. One day, Sang encounters the giant Kali and through their journeys together, they discover who Kali is and what he once was.

Created in response to the encroachment of urban environments on rivers and the natural world, Stream of Memory invites audiences to revisit their memories of nature and to deepen their appreciation for the wonders around them.

Audiences can enjoy this enchanting journey through standard theatre seating on chairs or experience a more intimate performance with floor seating.

Stream of Memory, an Esplanade Commission and Production, is happening from December 13 to 18 at the Singtel Waterfront Theatre at Esplanade, and is part of In New Light – A Season of Commissions that celebrates Esplanade's 20th anniversary.
