If there's one thing that will get you motivated to run, it's a dinosaur that's hot on your heels. That's the idea behind Jurassic World RUN!, a themed augmented reality (AR) marathon happening from July 26 to September 30.
Supported by the MOVE by LIV3LY app, you'll be tasked to escape the dinosaur-infested island of Isla Nubar. Terrifying dinosaurs are brought to life through the app with convincing immersive technologies, spurring you on to outrun danger and unlock achievements and assistance as you move through the race. Clock in your race times is easy – you can do so at your convenience either through the MOVE app or by syncing up your favourite wearables and fitness trackers.
The longer you run, the more adventure you can expect. Individual racers can go it alone at distances of 5km ($35), 10km ($49) or 21km ($56). Parents and children can pair up for 10km at $77 to make a dashing escape as a family, while a team of two can challenge the 21km run and meet larger-than-life dinosaurs together for $84.
Finishers for all categories are entitled to an exclusive finisher T-shirt to celebrate their escape from Isla Nublar. Also, all finishers of 10km and 21km will receive their very own finisher medal to celebrate their bravery and commemorate their adventures with Jurassic World RUN! Asia Pacific 2021.
