Time Out says

Luxury brand Louis Vuitton invites the public to marvel at its bespoke Nike Air Force 1 sneakers at its dreamlike exhibition. Happening from June 10 to 19, Louis Vuitton and Nike Air Force 1 By Virgil Abloh digital exhibition is dedicated to the reinvented shoes and the visionary designer behind it.

Singapore is the exhibition’s second stop after New York City, and our city is the only one in Asia to house this experience. The display features a bright orange Louis Vuitton and Nike branded entrance before revealing the 47 physical and holographic Air Force 1 sneakers that the late Abloh created throughout his prolific career. The space also showcases the production of the classic Air Force 1 sneakers, revealing the creative dialogue between Nike and Louis Vuitton. The late designer’s fans will also recognise the cloud-painted walls enclosing the space, a common detail that show up in his sets and campaigns.

Abloh was known to bring messages of unity and humanity through his collections at the Maison. This special exhibition emphasises his visionary direction in conceptualising the refreshed sneakers, showcasing his ability to marry streetwear and luxury in the Fiesso d’Artico workshop.

Next to the exhibition space will also house a large sculptural graphic globe – a final tribute to Abloh’s dedication to building bridges between countries and cultures. It represents all of the unifying motifs used during his time that proudly showcases the core concepts of unity and universality.

Out of the 47 editions that Abloh designed, nine of the Louis Vuitton x Nike Air Force 1 sneakers will be launched in Singapore via a digital activation in line with the exhibition. These sneakers include leather and suede mid- and low-tops. The kicks will retail from $3,900 to $4,900, with sizes ranging from 3.5 to 18. The date of the launch has yet to be announced so keep an eye out for this one.
