It's set to be a party at Somerset Belt on July 30 and August 6. Zendyll Music Agency and Hornybill Productions have joined hands to throw a massive Majulah Block Party over two consecutive Saturdays – complete with live performances, DJ sets, youth-oriented panel sessions, and F&B.
Held at *SCAPE Underground and Somerset Youth Park, this free event is meant to celebrate youths – fittingly, during youth month. Come shimmy to some of our country's best music acts, including electro-pop singer Shye and singer-songwriter Khally on July 30, July, and label showcases by HVT Entertainment, Allure Records and Dreamfellas Asia on 6th August. Live DJs like (cj), Candice B, and Peter Leftmind will be dropping sick beats throughout the day, while you can look forward to themed afterparty DJ sets by CULTURE (Day 1) and DJ Hanif (Day 2) at night.
Are you an engaged youth interested in culture and entertainment? Then don't miss two industry panel talks at Majulah Block Party. On July 30, the likes of Minister Edwin Tong, HAVEN and Dew Francis will be discussing youth culture and concerns, spanning topics in education, music, sports, arts and more. On August 6, learn all you need to know to make it big in music and dance at the panel with artists RIIDEM, FAUXE, Arfan Aziz, and culture journalist Indran Paramasivam.
There's no going hungry at Majulah Block Party either. Load up your plate with tasty tacos from Jaco's tacos, fluffy bagels from Able Bagel, and creative fusion cuisine from In Bad Company. There's a whole lot of booze and drinks to wash it down with too – from local breweries and and homegrown companies like Bad Decisions Imports, Quality Drops, Niang Brewery Co. and Clumzy Plumzy.
