Time Out says

The Mid-Autumn Festival is just around the corner – to celebrate this festive season, Jewel Changi Airport has an array of festivities for some family fun. Light up your feed with snaps of mesmerising lantern installations, life-sized sculptures, and participate in exciting activities with your loved ones.

Here are five highlights to check out at the event:

Life-sized Jade Rabbit

The legend of Chang Er and her Jade Rabbit is known among many, and it's a tale you're bound to hear during the Mid-Autumn Festival. Look out for the life-sized Jade Rabbit at the Shiseido Forest Valley, and mak sure to snap a photo together with the character.

Yummy Delights at Mid-Autumn Street

When picturing the Mid-Autumn Festival, most think of sharing mooncakes – the sweet snack synonymous with the festival. Taste mooncakes from well-loved vendors like Hua Ting and keto-friendly Ange Bakes. Make sure to also head over to the Carnival Games area for other Mid-Autumn goodies. You'll find event-exclusive flavours like Sweedy Patisserie's "Fatcarons", a massive macaron that's been piped with a salted egg custard, and Dochi Dochi's mochi doughnuts filled with matcha chocolate.

Light installations and a lantern walk

Stroll to Canopy Park to admire the colourful lantern walk. When you snap photos, make sure to tag it with #SeeJewel, since the top three entries will win a family annual attractions pass (worth $218). You can even pick up paper lanterns or rent a Hanfu costume (from $10/hour). Another photo taking opportunity is the pavilion, where yellow and purple lanterns illuminate the space.

Carnival Games

Head to the basement for some carnival games, or make a wish at the wishing well. The game booths are designed to resemble the street stalls in Ancient China. Fill rice buckets, pick up marbles with chopsticks, play chess or even fish for lotus lanterns.

The Mid-Autumn festivities are on till September 11, so don’t miss it!
