Oyster Shucking Competition at Muddy Murphy’s

Muddy Murphy's annual oyster shucking showdown returns for St Patrick's Day. The fastest hands to pry open shells and separate muscle from the oyster will win a trip to the Galway International Oyster & Seafood in Ireland in September. Participants are to compete in groups of three to open one oyster each, then drink a glass of Guinness in the shortest time. The first team to finish will receive a cash prize of $888, plus accomodation and tickets to the Galway International Oyster and Seafood Festival, while second and third place finishers will receive a cash prize of $488 and $288 respectively.
