Parties that field a minimum of six candidates under a recognised party symbol are given airtime on Party Political Broadcasts (PPBs), while independents and political parties that that field fewer than six under the same recognised party symbol aren’t eligible for the PPBs. Those that are unable to put out PPB include People's Power Party, Singapore Democratic Alliance, Singapore People's Party, and Red Dot United. The sequence of the PPB is based on the number of candidates fielded by the parties, starting with the fewest. The amount of airtime allocated to each party is in proportion to the number of candidates it fields. Here, each party will share its key messages, values, and motives.
The first PPB kicked off on July 2, with a second on July 9 from 8pm. It’s set to be aired across 19 TV and radio channels including Channel 5, CNA, CNA 938, Class 95, and Gold 905. You can watch it on CNA’s Facebook and YouTube channels too.
