Time Out says

Looking for the Sherlock to your John Watson? You've got it in Tinder's interactive and Emmy award-winning Swipe Night, which is back for a second instalment after a successful run in 2019.

Happening over three weeks beginning from November 7, this year's Swipe Night will have you solving a true crime mystery while working in tandem with potential Tinder matches on the app. Follow a group of friends on a birthday weekend getaway – where everything goes horribly wrong.

Each week, new clues and scenarios will be dropped through sleek short films (directed by Sasie Sealy, who was at the helm for an episode of Fresh Off the Boat). In true choose-your-own-adventure style, you can use Tinder's swipe feature to make 10+ choices throughout the game, which will take you down different paths and expose you to unique clues and spaces to crack the case.

Here's the other fun part: at the end of each week, you'll be asked to choose your prime suspect and Tinder will pair you up with someone who chose a different suspect in the Fast Chat feature. This allows you to have a conversation with someone before you've matched with each other. Share your theories, dissect the scenes, solve the mystery...and maybe fall in love?

A whopping 20 million members across the world took part in the first Swipe Night experience, and Tinder saw a 26% increase in matches during that period. If you're eager to meet new people and make some matches yourself, just head to Tinder's newly launched Explore section (where users can discover potential matches based on interest) on November 7 to enter yourself for the novel Swipe Night experience. Happy swiping!
