Time Out says

They say that Deepavali is the Hindu New Year, but we think it's more like Christmas and Halloween all rolled into one. Why? Because of Deepavali Thaatha, that's why.

Deepavali Thaatha used to be a significant figure during the earlier years of the celebrations in Singapore, and he bears a striking resemblance to Father Christmas. Furthermore, this year, he will be hanging around Campbell Lane in Little India with a bag full of candies to liven up the spirits of children. Like we said, he's the best parts of Deepavali, Christmas, and Halloween! What's not to love?

Located at Campbell Lane.
