Summer in Japan means fireworks, beer gardens and, of course, major music festivals. This year we can look forward to huge events like Fuji Rock and Summer Sonic with an impressive lineup of local and international acts.
Expect to see world-famous artists such as Kendrick Lamar, Foo Fighters, Thundercat, Lizzo, Liam Gallagher, The Strokes and more. Most of these music festivals will be held in the Greater Tokyo region, except for Fuji Rock, which will require a day trip from the city – although it’s worth spending an entire weekend at this sensational event out in the Niigata countryside.
