After temporarily closing down at the beginning of April, popular city farm and animal attraction Mother Farm in Chiba prefecture has reopened as a safari-style park, exclusively for Chiba residents.

Local animal lovers can now admire goats, horses, alpacas, ostriches and even emus from the comfort and safety of their cars.

The 3.5km road through the farm is open daily, and a drive-through visit costs ¥3,000 per car. Sadly, Mother Farm says it is only open to Chiba residents at the moment, presumably to discourage domestic tourists while the prefecture is still under a state of emergency.

If you’re not a Chiba resident, check out the farm’s friendly animals via these short videos on the official Twitter account.
