Having a hard time parting with your old, worn out clothes? Well, you might be able to hang on to them a bit longer as Uniqlo is now offering a service to help give your preloved clothing a second life. Known as Re. Currently, the studio is open for a trial run until March 31 2023 at Uniqlo in Setagaya's Chitosedai neighbourhood. This is not the first repair and remake service from Uniqlo as it has previously been introduced at stores in Germany, the UK, US, Singapore and Taiwan.

Repair services range from ¥500 to ¥1,500 and include mending holes, fixing frayed edges and replacing lost buttons. Repairs are aimed to be finished within the same day but times vary depending on how busy they are.

Remake services, which start at ¥500, include fun customisations like adding embroidered words and logos with Uniqlo's Scan N Cut machine. The only limitation is that the remake service cannot be applied to certain Uniqlo collaborations or licensed goods.

You can find Uniqlo’s repair and remake service here.
