The last month of the year comes with a major sigh of relief by probably everyone in the world, alongside a slew of new TV shows and movies to stream on Netflix while probably still cocooneed in your humble abodes.

The talk of the town in December will likely be David Fincher's Mank, a black-and-white period piece about screenwriter Herman J. Mankiewicz's work on Hollywood classic Citizen Kane. Ryan Murphy's latest original for the network is also much anticipated: The Prom features a star-studded cast that includes Meryl Streep, James Corden, Andrew Rannells, Kerry Washington and Nicole Kidman (fresh off the super entertaining The Undoing), among others. Make sure to also add Ma Rainey's Black Bottom, starring Viola Davis and the late Chadwick Boseman, to your queue.
As for new series: Selena explores the life of iconic Mexican-American pop star Selena Quintanilla while Julie Andrews narrates Shonda Rhimes' original Bridgerton, exploring the life and travails of the Bridgerton family during the Regency era in England. Also: Season three of The Great British Baking Show: Holidays is sure to captivate all your senses right before the new year.
