Thailand’s largest rooftop park, now officially named Dusit Arun, is barely a month old but trust Bangkokians to make it one of the city’s new go-to spots. Yes, it’s busy but somehow the air feels fresher up in this urban green space.

This seven-rai urban Babylon has been built with everyone in mind – seniors, wheelchair users, kids and even your four-legged pals (pets are more than welcome). It’s a sanctuary for both body and mind, perfect for anyone who needs to escape work stress or simply wants to recharge in green surroundings. For those hesitating to check it out, here’s your guide to Dusit Arun at Dusit Central Park.

The easiest entrance is through Central Park Mall’s sixth floor, which connects directly to the park. Once inside, you’ll find a winding walking trail lined with Thai plant species, stretching from the fourth to the seventh floors and flowing into eight key zones.

1. Bird Nest Viewpoint

This panoramic viewpoint serves up one of Bangkok’s rarest sights and one of its best photo spots. It’s where Dusit Arun and Lumpini Park blend into a single giant urban oasis. From up here, the skyline and nature flow together perfectly. This spot is great for a quiet moment surrounded by greenery or stay for the unbeatable shots. At sunrise, the soft golden light is magical, while at night the city turns into a sparkling backdrop.

2. Dusitpini Amphitheatre

Think of it as the park’s living room. It’s the spot for workshops, music jams, art shows or just lounging around with friends. The views over Lumpini Park and the Bangkok skyline aren’t too shabby either. The tiered steps double as a chill-out zone for casual chats, but given the right night, they can transform into seats for a sky-high concert.

3. Sawasdee Bangkok Viewpoint

If you want to see Bangkok softened by a blanket of green, head here. The view transforms the usual city chaos into something that feels almost like looking out over a valley, right in the middle of town. Early risers, take note: it’s the perfect spot to sip your morning coffee while soaking up the first light of day. There are plenty of tables where you can rest and enjoy your coffee.

4. Cascade 2513

Inspired by the legendary nine-step ‘Dusit Heavenly Waterfall’ from the original Dusit Thani Hotel in 1970, this little waterfall is surrounded by lush aquatic plants and comes with a natural breeze that instantly chills you out. Just listening to the sound of the waterfall is enough to wash away work stress.

5. The Terrace

The activity zone is right by the Food Passage, connecting the park with Central Park Offices. This social hub is super lively, with grey tiles, pops of blue glass and little water features that make the whole place feel stylish and photogenic. A perfect place to meet friends before dinner or snap that ‘yes-I’m-in-Bangkok’ shot.

6. The Plaza

This is basically the park’s big green hangout. You can stroll, chill, play around or just lie back and soak in nature’s vibes. Bonus: the mist from Cascade 2513 keeps things cool and refreshing, making it the perfect spot to spend a whole afternoon without even realising it.

7. D Garden

This one’s a little more exclusive. Reserved for residents of The Residences at Dusit Central Park and hotel guests only, it’s a fantastic spot for a peaceful walk among blooming flowers, with colours and scents everywhere. Up on the top level, the views are completely different from the rest of the park.

8. The Courtyard

Another cosy spot tucked inside D Garden. It’s the activity area for small hangouts, low-key activities, or just chilling in a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere.

The park is open daily from 6am-10pm.
