Set inside an 80-year-old teakwood house styled like a classic gingerbread home, Dok Kaew House Bar brings together local beer lovers and curious newcomers in a space full of charm – and possibly a few spirits. The bar’s name pays homage to the towering dok kaew trees that stand guard at the gate, a familiar sight for those who’ve lived in the area long enough.
Inside, things get even more interesting. With 10 rotating taps and two fully stocked fridges, the focus here is on a well-curated mix of Thai craft brews and standout imports. The vibe is barefoot and breezy – quite literally, since you’re asked to leave your shoes at the door. Don’t be surprised if a staff member sits down to chat about your beer; they’re some of the friendliest folks in the scene and know their hops from their sours.
