From the start of November, the annual Pisco Nights event has taken over leading bars and restaurants in Thailand's capital city. Taste Peru's national spirit through various creative concoctions for the month-long celebration of Pisco. The city's leading bartenders continue to craft their own signature takes to highlight the versatility and vibrance of this grape-distilled spirit.

Get acquainted with Pisco and enjoy limited-time-only creative libations continuing throughout the month of November. Rest assured, the previously mentioned bars are still offering their own creations, but new participating venues will also craft a Pisco-based cocktail for guests to enjoy. Marvel at the view at Banyan Tree Bangkok's rooftop bar Vertigo with its Latin mashup cocktail “Pisco Mojito” and their bestselling cocktail, Pisco-based “Meet My Brumble,” both highlighted during a special event on the 17th as well. Head over to Guilty at Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel and taste their special Pisco-based cocktail dubbed “Viru de Blanc” created by their new head bartender and enjoy a Latin American-inspired dinner while you sip. Hidden away in Chinatown, Opium is also participating in the month-long promotion where you can sit back and enjoy “Agua de Dios”.

Rabbit Hole

Former Asia’s top 50 Bar Rabbit Hole, is regaining its former glory in Thonglor, where you can enjoy their Pisco Nights creation “Blackberry Shrub Sour.”  At Okura Prestige Bangkok, lobby bar Up & Above, is serving up more than its Japanese delicacies, their Pisco creation is called “Carpe Noctem.”

Made with eight different grape varieties – Quebranta, Negra Criolla, Uvina, Mollar, Moscatel, Torontel, Italia, and Albilla – the resulting spirit features grape notes and a fresh bouquet of aromatics with a hint of sweetness. Mixologists all over the world are now using this renowned spirit as a staple behind the bar because of its vibrant flavor and versatility. The Peruvian Pisco is intrinsically linked with Peru's cultural identity, and its production is protected by traditional, artisanal methods and must only be produced in one of the five coastal valley regions of Peru, including Ica, Lima, Arequipa, Moquegua and Tacna.

Presented by PROMPERÚ, Peru's export and tourism agency, Pisco Nights is part of a wider Peru-focused celebration in Bangkok this November. Watch out for Peru product promotions at eight Gourmet Market locations, as well as Makro, Tops, Foodland, Max Value and Big C.

Visit the official Pisco Nights in South East Asia Facebook page to stay up to date since more bars with custom cocktails will be added throughout the month-long celebration.
