Time Out says

4 out of 5 stars

The hip hood of Ari has just welcomed a new face to its cocktail scene with Josh Hotel’s The Key. The voyages of Josh—the hotel’s fictional owner—which span the 80s and across continents, inspires both the décor and drinks at The Key. The bar flaunts elements usually associated with the 80s such as tinted floor-to-ceiling mirrors, gilded decorative items and velveteen-covered furniture.

Drinks are courtesy of mixologist Danuwat Into, who has given each signature cocktail a unique name and backstory. Mr. Josh Journey (B380), for example, is a twist on the Old Fashioned, and is meant to encapsulate the essence of Josh’s travels in one spirits-forward concoction. Marilyn 1950s (B380), a vodka-based drink that mixes Malibu, lime juice, honey syrup, cinnamon syrup, grapefruit bitters, and smoked cinnamon, is a tribute to Josh’s secret crush—Miz Monroe, we assume. Meanwhile, Josh's Thai girlfriend inspires Dao Ruang (B320), a refreshing drink made with infused gin, beer, Roselle syrup, lime juice, and secret syphon, and served with colorful Alaw candy.
