2022 was a year of restarting. People were trying to get back on their feet, businesses were pulling all strings to return to where they were pre-Covid, and young entrepreneurs went back to pursuing new opportunities.

As much as we shed tears for the establishments that have said their goodbyes, we’re also thankful for what 2022 brought about—we saw more openings than we expected, from a sky-high restaurant with killer views to a hidden bar that serves sophisticated drinks you’d want to cross over into the other side of town for.

Time Out Bangkok: The Best of” is here to celebrate the people and places that re-energized Bangkok’s culinary scene this past year. We’re sure they will be paving the way for what we will be eating and drinking in 2023.

Note: Those on the list are places that we actually visited before November, so venues that opened after that—and venues we’ve never been to—will be included in next year’s list.
