One of the world's classiest mass picnics where all-white clothing is required for all patrons, Dîner en Blanc, is making its way to Bangkok before the end of this year.

Founded in Paris in the '80s, the outdoor dinner party is best known for gathering up (at least) a thousand diners dressed head-to-toe in white and a secretive venue that will remain secret until the very last minute. The Dîner en Blanc Bangkok will be organized by a partnership between LOL International and Thai Guide Media.

According to Time Out London: "Guests must bring a table, white chairs and white tablecloth, a picnic basket filled with fine food and white tableware, and wine or champagne to drink – beer and spirits clearly aren't classy enough for this gig." So if everybody has to bring their own seatings, why did they all look so identical in pictures from previous events? We've reached out to the local organizer to find out that there're some requirements: a table doesn't have to be white as it will be covered with a white tablecloth but it has to be square, foldable and portable with the size must be between 28 and 32 inches. However, the organizer is working with a local vendor to offer a rental table service on the premises. They're also working with local F&B partners to set up an e-shop where you can pre-purchase what you'd like to eat at the event.

Entry fees are expected to be around B1,800-2,000, inclusive of a one-year Dîner en Blanc membership, which gives you a priority to other Dîner en Blanc events around the world.

Want to throw your name in the ring? You'll need to put your name on the waiting list before 29 Oct.
