This is one of the two dance parties any funseeker shouldn’t miss during Songkran (the other one being the gay-centric gCircuit Song Kran party). The brainchild of TV personality Woody Milintachinda, S2O is now in its third year and promises to give partygoers a bigger, better splash over the course of three days. Beats from the world’s top spinners, such as Dash Berlin, Don Diablo and Kaskade, will be heightened by larger-than-life light and water effects, and an awe-inspiring stage design inspired by the theme “water factory in the future.”
The number of partygoers rose from 34,000 in 2015 to 45,000 in 2016, so expect no less this year—early-bird tickets and three-day passes have already sold out. VIP tickets are still available—ticket holders get access to special lanes, exclusive bars, and special decks for drying off. To improve the ticketing system, the event organizers will send wristbands with NFC chips (to enter the space and to buy drinks) to all ticket holders residing in Thailand to prevent long queues. A number of Thai designers, such as Issue and Q Design and Play, have designed special merchandise to be sold on the premises.
