CRAFT is the newest café and a member of the mega Sindhorn Village project. Located in the lobby of the luxury Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok, the café welcomes all guests to relish in quality coffee from both Thai and international

The luxury hotel is set to officially open its doors in October, but it’s giving Bangkokians a taste of what to expect by first opening up its lobby café CRAFT. As its name implies, CRAFT prioritizes craftsmanship in every aspect of its business, from the natural wood and rock decorative details that make up its interiors to the coffee it serves to the service it offers.

Grab a seat by the coffee counter and order yourself a serious cuppa brewed from high-quality beans sourced from Thai and foreign suppliers, including Bangkok-based brand Kad Kokao, local growers in Mae Tang, and growers in Costa Rica and Vietnam. A cup of regular coffee is, amazingly, priced as low as B90.

If you’re in the mood to try something more atypical, try either the siphon-filtered coffee (B180 to B260) or the Turkish-style brew (B170), which is a rare find in the city. On a freakishly hot day, we urge you to get a glass of iced cold brew, which is powered by medium-roasted local beans (B130 to B150).

CRAFT has a few comfort dishes to go with those caffeinated sips, such as a salad of poached shrimp, pomegranate and mixed greens (B220), cold mezze with warm flat bread (B320), and grilled chicken and onion cheesesteak (B220). You can also have these eats with an alcohol-injected drink. One corner of CRAFT boasts a bar where, in the evening, guests can get a tipple or two, perhaps one of them mixed with one of the gins Craft has stocked from all over the world.

Keeping to its promise of purveying “crafted” service, CRAFT extends an invite to your furry, four-footed pals. The café welcomes dogs of all kinds and sizes on its outdoor balcony. You want your shih tzu by your side as you eat? Sure. Want to bring along your beloved husky as a bodyguard? No problem.

CRAFT is currently open every day from 9:00 to 18:00. In addition to CRAFT, Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok is scheduled to open its garden rooftop bar, Bar.Yard, on 16 July 2020.
