Bangkok Art Book Fair at Bangkok CityCity Gallery; 1pm; free

Bangkok’s leading—and possibly only—art book sale and showcase event returns to Bangkok CityCity Gallery for the second year this September. Last year saw 3,000 bookworms flocking into the whitewashed space to check out and shop for art books from Thai and international publishers. The second year comes with almost 60 publishers joining the event, doubled from last year. Highlights include a crowdfunding platform to raise money for the production of Apichatpong Weerasethakul’s Tropical Malady book as well as noodle-focused food offers curated by Samrub for Thai.

BAM Weekender at Live Park Rama 9; 9pm; B1,990

BAMM (Bangkok Arts & Music Month) is back with a new edition of BAM Weekender, featuring a week of three concerts by three promoters Medium Rare Live, Hype Events Bangkok and Conflakes. From The weekend of 6-9 Sep, you will get to see indie artists Giraffage, Cuco and Mild High Club performing live at Live Arena, RCA. The first night starts with Taiwan-based American electronic artist Giraffage on 6 Sep, then psychedelic pop group Mild High Club is performing on the stage on 7 Sep. Finally, it's going to be California's rising star Curo to wrap up the festival. 

90's Party at 88 Surawong; 5pm; free

88 Surawong is throwing a party like it's the 90's with your all time favorite tunes from Warren G to Salt N Pepa, and happy hour deal from 5pm to 8.08pm for B88/a drink.

Soundistan x Tụ̄̀n Tên at Safe Room; 10pm; B350

Soundistan joins hands with Tun Ten to throw a night of electronic music featuring live sets by Alien Panda Jury from Pakistan, The Dude of Stratosphear, and Tun Ten tastemakers: Sunju Hargun, Elaheh, and Junesis.

The Commons is hosting a weekend of art and crafts where you can enjoy the 3-day of fun activities. You can shop for unique items from local and Japanese artisans, enjoy creative activities and workshops, eat from Bangkok's favorite eateries, drinks sake from a popup bar, listen to live music all day long, and join a party by Friends of Friends BKK and SAKE + SOUND.

Photo Bangkok Festival at BACC; 10am; free

One of Bangkok’s grandest photography festivals (now on its second edition) aims to be a platform for supporting young Thai and Asian photographers. Throughout the course of the event, various photo exhibitions are showcased at more than 32 galleries and art spaces around Bangkok. The main exhibition, Post-Repost-Share, examines the modern relationship between photographers and viewers, at BACC. Seminars, talks, symposia and many more activities will take place in various venues across the city. For the first time, the general public also can take part in the festival by joining a smartphone photo contest. Submit your own photos taken from your phone to get a chance to be exhibited at the BACC.

Sunday Gay Night at Maggie Choo's; 7.30pm; B300

Quirky setting, fine spirit, hot hunks and an entertaining show by Pangina Heals, Bangkok's answer to RuPaul, this is the most awesome, upscale gay party in town and has turned Sunday into Maggie Choo's busiest night.
