American bassist/singer Thundercat to host his first Bangkok's live gig in Apr

LA-born multi-genre bassist, record producer, singer and songwriter Stephen Lee Bruner, AKA Thundercat, will be heading to Bangkok to perform live in April. The artist first got in the music industry as a member of crossover thrash band Suicidal Tendencies. He, then, released his debut solo studio album The Golden Age of Apocalypse in 2011, and his second album Apocalypse in 2013. Thundercat got recognized for his works with producer Flying Lotus and one of the most successful hip-hop artists of this generation Kendrick Lamar for his album To Pimp a Butterfly. In 2016, Thundercat won a Grammy for Best Rap/Sung Performance for his work on the track "These Walls" from To Pimp a Butterfly.

His latest album Drunk, released in 2017, is a 23-track musical journey composed of soul, neo-soul, jazz, funk, r&b that he's got various artists to join him, including Kendrick Lamar, Pharrell, Michael McDonald, Kenny Loggins, Wiz Khalifa, Kamasi Washington and Flying Lotus. The album was topped in lots of "Best of 2017" lists and was named the "BBC 6 Music Recommends Album of the Year 2017.”

Thundercat's gig will be held on Apr 9 at Live Arena. Tickets are B1,400/Early Bird, and will be on sale on Mar 4 at noon via Ticketmelon.com
