Another day, another sad news. CNN has reported that Anthony Bourdain, celebrity chef, best-selling author and TV host, has been found dead in his hotel room in Strasbourg, France. He was there to film an episode of his award-winning CNN series Parts Unknown. CNN claimed the cause of death was suicide. He was 61.

The talented chef was the executive chef of the now-defunct Brasserie Les Halles in Manhattan, New York, and wrote several books. One of the best known is the best-selling Kitchen Confidential: Adventures in the Culinary Underbelly, which he takes readers to the behind-the-scenes world of haute cuisine. He joined CNN in 2013 to host critically acclaimed food-focused travel program Parts Unknown, which received numerous awards and is now in its eleventh season.

RIP, Anthony.
