In celebration of the 25th anniversary of the establishment of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR), following its handover to China from British governance, the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Bangkok is collaborating with Time Out Bangkok, the organizer of Awakening Bangkok lighting installation festival, to host a special lighting installation at THE MITR-TING ROOM at Samyan Mitrtown.

Under the concept of “Hong Kong: Toward a New Era”, the one-week event will see the entire venue transformed into the Fragant Harbor, featuring seven eye-popping artworks inspired by the island city’s iconic landmarks. These installations were created by multimedia design studio XD49, a mainstay of past Awakening editions.

“Hong Kong: Towards a New Era” will be open to guests from 22 to 28 July (11:00 to 22:00) at THE MITR-TING ROOM on the 5th floor of Samyan Mitrtown. The event is free of charge.
