Thailand has officially entered its summer season. As early as the last few days of February, the city was already awash in sweltering heat. And it’s not going to get any better soon—the “feels like” temperature is projected to reach almost 50 degrees Celsius in the coming days!
In the Meteorological Department of Thailand’s recently released weather forecast, you’ll see that the “feels like” temperature, a calculated combination of air temperature, wind, and humidity, is expected to reach as high as 48.1 degrees in Bangkok, with the highest figure expected at a scorching 51.4 degrees Celsius in Chonburi.
People are advised to avoid direct sun exposure and to stay hydrated to prevent heatstroke.
