The BTS just announced earlier today (5 Jul) that it is going to offer refunds extra trips for the train delays between 25-27 Jun. Get your refunds from 7 July until the end of the month at any station.
- Holder of 30-day pass gets six extra trips added to the card.
- Holder of prepaid Rabbit Card gets three extra trips.
- User of a single-journey ticket who didn't use the card to travel can now reuse the card within 14 days or seek refunds at any station.
In the future, if there is a delay that lasts longer than 30 minutes, and isn't caused by unforeseen circumstances, BTS will be offering refunds for all three ticket types. (What's the definition of the "unforeseen circumstances"?)
- For the 30-day pass, the trip(s) will not be deducted from the card, but you have to exit through the specific gates provided. Also, two extra trips will be added to the card for every day of the delays and breakdowns.
- For the prepaid Rabbit Card, the fee will not be deducted, but you have to exit through the specific gates provided.
- For the single journey ticket, you could reuse the card within 14 days or seek refunds on the same day of the delay.
