FIRA Beach Club Phuket, a clifftop retreat carved into the dramatic coastline of Kata, just popped the champagne on its first year of operations, already becoming one of Phuket’s most talked-about sunset spots. Over the weekend, it hosted a proper first birthday celebration with the theme ‘The Call of FIRA’, a tribute to food, music and the effortlessly cool Mediterranean vibe it has become known for.

The celebration kicked off on Saturday with ‘The Sunset Ritual’, a fire-fuelled takeover featuring 11 guest chefs alongside Executive Chef Ramón Verano. Open flames licked the evening air as a roaming saxophonist wove through the crowd, hypnotic beats pulsed across the deck and performers turned up the heat just as the sky melted into shades of pink and gold.

Sunday’s Mediterranean brunch brought a more subdued vibe. Under the sun and sea breeze, the cliffs transformed into a seaside escape, complete with seashells and leisurely energy. Guests gathered at long communal tables surrounded by live stations serving mezze, seafood and freshly grilled delights. As the afternoon rolled in, the scene turned carnival-like, with a groovy singer, live acts and poolside energy turning brunch into a sunlit celebration.

Year two begins now, and FIRA is not standing still. A refreshed menu is set to drop soon, alongside a steady programme of weekly events and an upgraded music roster featuring international DJs. The signature FIRA energy remains the same, just with a little extra spice.
