For almost four decades, Bei Otto has solidified its name as one of the most renowned—and very few—German restaurants in Bangkok, which is why its latest announcement on Facebook page could be something close to shocking news to many Sukhumvit-bound Bangkok foodies.

"Dear customer, after 37 years of being at Sukhumvit Soi 20 we must move on. Tomorrow, 23 September 2021 will be the last day we open there," wrote Bei Otto on its fan page. The looks-like-a-farewell announcement almost had most of us gasp with thought of seeing another big name of Bangkok's scene go—but there's more to that!

The eatery asserted that they're set to move location from its current spot on Soi Sukhumvit 20 to a new one on Phetchaburi Road on 28 September. The upcoming reopening of Bei Otto would take over a space near Italthai Tower with the entrance to the restaurant situated between Esso and Shell petrol stations.

Before experiencing all-new vibes at the new location, you can visit the original outpost on Soi Sukhumvit 20 for one last time today (23 September). Keep in touch with Bei Otto via 06 5645 4780 or LINE (@beiotto).
