GDH has revealed the first look of the upcoming Thai horror film The Medium. The film is directed by Banjong Pisanthanakun (Shutter, Pee Mak, and Hello Stranger) with Korean filmmaker Na Hong-jin recruited as the producer.
The Medium (in Thai: Rang Zong) centers around the belief of shamanism practiced in the northeastern part of Thailand, and the focus is on this family of which one member is possessed by a malevolent deity. The international teaser gives an insight into the eerie atmosphere that reminds us of Hong-jin's acclaimed film The Wailing (2016), which also explores the same theme of supernatural practice in South Korea.
The film is set to hit the cinemas in South Korea this coming July. Check out the teaser below.
