There were times you feel like ordering dim sum delivery but afraid of receiving a pack of dried, long-dead bites that would definitely put you off. The problem is now solved. Bangkok's beloved Chinese restaurant chain Hong Bao has created a better quick fix with the launch of what they call "Heat Box." This new innovative takeaway package comes with a "heat bag" that exudes heat in order to re-steam the dim sum back to life. No microwave needed.

The restaurant is very kind for sending us some samples to try, and we have to say it's more or less like they were sending straight from steamer to our office! Steps to reheat the dim sum are indeed simple: First, you take the lid off and take the white inner tray with the dim sum out. Then, you place the heat bag in the black outer tray, pour some water over the bag, and then put the white inner tray back. That's when the magic happens—the steam will start to hiss, giving hot heat to the whole box. Within 10-12 minutes, you will have hot and fresh dim sum ready.

Don't worry if the dim sum menu is limited, as Hong Bao offers aplenty for the delivery service. This means you can have all your favorites, be it Superior Steamed Shrimp Dumplings (B240), Beancurd Skin Roll with Pork in Brown Sauce (B190), Pork Dumplings with Mushroom (B180), Shanghai Juicy Pork Bun (B160), and Golden Salted Egg Creamy Bun (B120).

Dim sum at home is now easy and never will be meh if you order from Hong Bao. Check out Hong Bao's Facebook page now for more information and delivery details.
