For only one week starting 20 January, IMAX Thailand will screen Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, the first film adaptation of the wildly popular Harry Potter book series by J.K. Rowling. It’s been 20 years since the movie originally came out in the theaters.

We were first introduced to the cinematic world of wizardry at Hogwarts on 16 November 2001, courtesy of Warner Bros. Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone shot to blockbuster success around the globe, grossing over USD974 million. The hit movie starred Daniel Radcliffe as Harry Potter, Rupert Grint as Ron Weasley, and Emma Watson as Hermione Granger, alongside an ensemble of veteran and young actors and actresses. Two decades later, the film is still celebrated as a pop culture phenomenon.  Find more information about the screening here.

Earlier this month, HBO premiered Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts, a reunion special that featured cast members from all eight installments. In Thailand, you can still watch this exclusive on HBO GO.
