The Papersmith, one of Bangkok’s very few independent magazine shops, has announced the closure of its Gaysorn Village branch after six years.
“We’d like to thank everyone who has supported The Papersmith,” the shop acknowledged in a Facebook post. “Can you believe that we have very few magazines left? We also believe that magazines will never die.”
The Papersmith is a magazine-focused subsidiary of The Booksmith, the famous independent bookstore based in Chiang Mai, which is still in operation.
The shop at luxury complex Gaysorn Village first opened its doors in 2018. It will continue to operate only until the end of June.
