Mark the date! Time Out's signature lighting festival Awakening Bangkok will return to Charoenkrung on January 14-23, 2022.

With the current Awakening Samyan set to wrap up this weekend, we don't waste any more time to prep up the next one for this coming January with Awakening Bangkok 2021. This year, our annual lighting installation showcase will be bigger and better with a longer route covering Bangkok's old town from Charoenkrung, Talad Noi, to Soi Nana in Chinatown.

Over 50 pieces of glistening art will be lit up brightly under the theme of 'RE:VIVE' that aims to bring back liveliness to you and the areas after months of dark times back in 2021.

GrabFood joins us as the main partner to help elevate the fun festival to the next level with a series of activities like digital-mapping chef's table dining. Johnie Walker also comes back this year with big surprises up the sleeve!
Awakening Bangkok 2021 is hosted by Time Out with support from the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB), GrabFood, Johnie Walker, Tipco, BGC Glass Studio, Royal Orchid Sheraton Hotel & Towers, and Prince Theatre.
