Everybody's go-to streaming platform Netflix is ready to debut a new Thai-made thriller entitled Deep. Set to debut on July 16, the film revolves around four medical students who risk their lives for one million Baht in the experiment of a foreign pharmaceutical company for a new drug that put them in a fatal state of sleep deprivation.

Deep is the latest ambition to showcase Thai production to worldwide audiences by local studio Transformation Films, a home to recent works like Mr. Hurt (2018), Inhuman Kiss (2019), and My God Father! (2020). It's also a collaborative project between a rookie team of screenwriters and directors from Bangkok University and famed Thai filmmakers Wisit Sasanatieng (Citizen Dog [2004] and The Unseeable [2006]) and Adirek Wattaleela (H Project [2013] and Necromancer 2020 [2019]).

The film is starring Gen Z newcomers such as Panisara "Care" Rikulsurakan, Kay Lertsittichai, Supanaree "Fern" Sutavijitvong, and Krit "Kit" Jeerapattananuwong.

Deep is set to premiere on July 16, exclusively on Netflix. Check out the first trailer below.
