As all mass gathering events, including countdown parties on New Year's Eve, has been canceled across Bangkok due to the reemergence the coronavirus outbreaks, it's been confirmed that the coordinated New Year firework showcases hosted by luxurious hotels and a shopping center along the Chao Phraya River will get to continue.
The shows start at midnight and usually goes on like this:
- Asiatique
- Anantara Bangkok Riverside
- Capella Bangkok and Four Seasons Bangkok
- Mandarin Oriental Bangkok
- ICONSIAM
Back in the city, Central World, a megamall that has been hosting massive countdown celebrations for many years, has also announced the cancellation of its countdown event, but will keep the firework show going on.
ICONSIAM and Central World will also broadcast live their New Year's Eve events on public TV and various Facebook pages.
