The legendary Before Trilogy kicks off with Before Sunrise, a love story about fleeting connections and the magic of chance encounters. Jesse, an American on his way home, meets Céline, a French student returning to Paris, during a train ride across Europe. On a whim, they decide to spend one night together through Vienna – talking, sharing ideas and discovering an intimacy that might last only until sunrise or perhaps forever.

Told through simple yet deep conversations, Before Sunrise has become an iconic ’90s romance.

Sofia Coppola’s Oscar-winning Lost in Translation tells the story of Bob Harris, a middle-aged actor in Tokyo for a whiskey commercial and Charlotte, a recent college grad tagging along with her workaholic husband. Both feel out of place, lonely and slightly lost in the chaos of Japan… until fate (and a hotel bar) brings them together.

What starts as a chance encounter quickly turns into a quietly brilliant friendship that is full of inside jokes, whispered secrets and moments that stick with you long after the credits roll. Short on time but big on heart.

Roman Holiday

The timeless classic Roman Holiday launched Audrey Hepburn into stardom and won her an Oscar for Best Actress. It is the story of Princess Ann, who’s fed up with royal duties and decides to sneak away for a solo adventure in Rome. Enter Joe, a young American journalist who comes to her aid – oblivious to the fact that she’s actually a princess.

What starts as a potential scoop quickly turns into something much sweeter: a romance amid the stunning streets of Rome. With charm, laughter and just the right amount of mischief, this film set the gold standard for romantic movies for generations to come.

Christopher Nolan’s sci-fi thriller masterpiece Inception challenges the line between reality and dreams. The story follows Dom Cobb, a master thief who specializes in stealing secrets from people’s subconscious through the dream world. His final mission, however, isn’t about stealing – it’s about planting an idea in someone’s mind.

But this mission is fraught with danger, threatening to trap him in the dream world forever. It has a complex, mind-bending plot, surreal action sequences and a powerful score that continues to be celebrated.

The sequel to Before Sunrise brings Jesse and Céline back together after missing their chance nine years ago. This time, fate reunites them in Paris, with only a few hours before sunset. Packed with the kind of deep, real conversations that make you wince, Before Sunset is romance served warm, bittersweet and proof that some connections never truly fade.

One of director Danny Boyle’s cult films, Trainspotting lays bare the raw, gritty underbelly of society. It follows Renton, a young Scot struggling to break free from the cycle of drug addiction, only to be pulled back by friends living just as recklessly.

The film is packed with intense scenes that are both darkly funny and heartbreakingly tragic. It explores themes of friendship, betrayal and the search for meaning in a chaotic world.
