July 1 sees the reopening of one of Phuket's most luxurious, most secluded resorts Amanpuri on Pansea Beach, Kamala. The award-winning hospitality legend has closed its doors for a few months due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Set on an entire peninsula amidst a private coconut grove, Amanpuri first opened in 1988 as Aman Group's first property. The resort is praised for timeless Thai-inspired villas designed by celebrated American architect Edward Tuttle, who's just passed in June. Following several expansions, it is now home to 40 standalone guest pavilions and 40 multi-bedroom villas. Amanpuri's top-notch services and extreme privacy make it a favorite getaway for some of the world's biggest celebrities, including Kate Moss and Leonardo DiCaprio.

To celebrate the reopening, Amanpuri is offering a special package, Andaman Escape, tailored exclusively for Thai citizens and expatriates residing in Thailand, which includes daily breakfast and private return transfers for stays from a minimum of two nights. Guests will also get discounts at Aman Spa and the resort's restaurants. Rates start from B15,000 per night—that's approximately 50% off its regular low-season rate. Basically, it's the price you've never seen for a long, long time.
