Local sustainability and movement for plant-based food Root the Future is bringing back the second edition of Plant-Based Food Awards, with a bigger line-up of awards given to winning restaurants across three cities in Thailand.
We can't deny that the plant-based hype is getting stronger in the kingdom. Many eateries—big and small—are slowly hopping on the meatless trend by launching new dishes that are made with no trace of animal products, and the non-meat eaters here couldn't be happier to see the community expand.
Root the Future is one of the most visible leaders of the pack that has aimed to push world-saving agendas out there in Thailand. Plant-Based Food Awards is one of their ambitious endeavors to give more recognition to the restaurants that serve up both plant-based dishes and sustainable quality, and Vistro was the inaugural winner to take the name of Best Plant-Based Restaurant last year.
And they need you again this time around. Root the Future has now launched the voting for the 2021 reissue that comes with a total of 17 categories opening up for non-meat enthusiasts to cast their votes for their favorite spots in Bangkok, Chiang Mai, and Phuket. The fun in it is that you might win a B5,000 voucher to spend at the winning restaurants!
The voting will last until October 31 and the winner will be revealed on November 6 alongside a live online event. You can participate in the awards here.
