It’s been a while since we last wandered around the city to discover new favorite hangouts or even get inspired by art exhibitions. The ongoing COVID-19 restrictions have been a great hindrance for Bangkok to return to its same lively vibes like those in the good old days. However, that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy going out and about this weekend in the city! The capital’s massive art event Bangkok Design Week 2021 is the one you shouldn’t miss.

Despite the difficulty posed by the pandemic, Bangkok Design Week 2021 has continued to host an abundance of inspiring events in the online world here. This year, the festival is held under the theme "Resurgence of Possibilities” to help all Bangkokians rise above the challenges and come up with solutions to better the city. Among many events hosted by the BDW crew, Made in Charoenkrung is the one we highly recommend.

Made in Charoenkrung is a special collaborative project by Thailand Creative & Design Center (TCDC) and Bangkok Design Week that invites seven local shops and designers to work together in elevating products lesser known to be the highlights of this age-old area of Bangkok. With the concept to "give new life to hidden gems" in Charoenkrung. Instead of sitting in front of your laptop and scrolling through their website, you can go out and enjoy the Made in Charoenkrung event along the oldest road of the city. Let's have a look at what we have here.
