The Center for COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) has agreed to relax restrictions on restaurants located inside shopping malls, allowing them to reopen only for delivery service to serve customers who order via online platforms. This will be in effect from August 3 onward.

July 12 marks the return of full-on lockdown restrictions in high-risk areas, including Bangkok and other 28 provinces. One of the regulations is the shutdown order imposed on indoor restaurants in shopping malls. However, today (August 2), CCSA has announced that these dining venues could now return to business under the sole condition that they are able to provide service up until 20:00 only for orders made via online delivery platforms. This means that you are still prohibited to physically visit the restaurant to get a takeaway.

In the meantime, other types of venues located at shopping centers (except pharmacies and supermarkets) will remain closed.

CCSA has extended the lockdown to until the end of August.
