After weeks of political lobbying, secret deals, and appearances in the media, Thailand is finally welcoming its 30th Prime Minister, Srettha Thavisin. Srettha is one of Thailand’s most prominent business tycoons and serves as the frontman for Sansiri, one of the country’s largest property developers. His nomination came from the Pueu Thai Party, the second most voted party from the previous election, and he secured a majority of votes from both Houses.
He will head a multi-party government composed of various political parties from the previous ruling administration.
