After several delays, Thailand's first allotment of COVID vaccines will be arriving in Thailand on February 24, according to Thai Airways, the national carrier responsible for transporting the inoculation materials from China to the kingdom.

According to Bangkok Post, this shipment contains 200,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccination supplied by Sinovac Biotech in China. Expressing such delight, THAI’s air chief marshal Chaiyapruk Didyasarin said that the Public Health Ministry has commissioned the national airline to assume the duty, and he also revealed that Airbus A350-900 was assigned to carry out the mission because the aircraft is equipped with ample space to take in the temperature-controlled cargo containers.

THAI cargo flight TG675 is scheduled to depart from Beijing at 06:50 on February 24 and will land in Suvarnabhumi Airport at 11:05.

Previously, we reported that the Prayuth-led government planned to jumpstart the inoculation in Thailand sometime in February. For more information, read more from this link.
