The exclusive six-hand dinner at Il Fumo looks to showcase the best of Portuguese flavors

Progressive Portuguese restaurant Il Fumo has invited chef Ricardo Costa of two Michelin-starred The Yeatman in Porto and chef Alexandre Ferreira of the prestigious hospitality school Escola de Hotelaria e Turismo do Douro-Lamego to join Il Fumo’s head chef Nelson Amorim in the exclusive six hand dinner, as the eight dinner of Il Fumo’s culinary series Portugal, the New Dawn.

With more than 18 years of experience under his belt, chef Ricardo Costa has been a long-running influencer of the rise of new Portuguese cuisine. His extensive experience from top restaurants in Portugal, Spain, and the UK has led him to the executive chef position at two-Michelin Star The Yeatman. The culinary genius will be joined by chef Alexandre Ferreira from Escola de Hotelaria e Turismo do Douro-Lamego. Ferreira is an esteemed chef highly respected within the Portuguese culinary scene and the mentor of chef Amorim.

Over seven courses (B5,400), the trio will showcase their adaptations of new Portuguese cuisine using ingredients such as milk-fed veal, Jerusalem artichokes, halibut, safflower, mascarpone, and vanilla. Wine pairing selection by head sommelier Thanakorn Mankit will accompany the dinners for an exceptional dining experience (B1,400).
